About the Farm

We are a farm as well as a place to stay. On the farming side we have some sheep but the main focus is our horse livery stables. We have some forty acres of good turnout land and good size stables to accommodate about 20 horses. A good quality riding arena is available to our livery clients together with a small lunge ring. We offer a very flexible service and are happy to agree arrangements which fully meet your needs.

Holly Farm riding arena

Essentially we accommodate horses or ponies on a full or DIY livery basis. Full livery comprises:

  • Bedding - normally shavings or straw
  • Daily mucking out and skipping out
  • Hard Feed as appropriate to horse size & workload (supplements can also be fed)
  • Haylage produced at Holly Farm
  • Daily turnout where possible according to weather and ground conditions
  • Rugging up and changing rugs appropriate to seasonal conditions
  • Picking out hooves and general grooming when a horse is brought in
  • Shared use of all facilities including tack room space
  • Calling for Vet or Farrier in case of emergencies (where possible the Owners agreement will be sought first)

Haymaking

Our DIY clients have the shared use of all facilities on the same basis as for full livery, a stable for their horse and access to turnout. We always keep an eye on all our horses and will call for Vet or Farrier in emergencies on the same basis as for our full livery clients.

We are also happy to agree changes to any of the full or DIY livery services to meet clients’ needs.

We welcome viewings from prospective clients and will be more than happy to show you around and discuss your individual requirements. Terms for livery will be provided on request.
